A self-profit creation model is required for NTIC to be sustainable. KU (Dhulikhel hospital) is already producing and selling some products (cosmetics, mineral water, etc.), however, it needs to scale up at the same time. KU students’ education/ industrial excursions would improve operational capacity. School-based enterprises can be an effective model which can create profits and offer an educational venue for its professors and students.
Objectives
The major objectives of the program are following:
- To contribute to the financial sustainability of NTIC
- To enhance KU brand image
- To provide the opportunity of participation in R&D for KU faculty and students
- Revenue creation and enhance industry-friendly
- To offer on-site training for KU students and to strengthen the capability of startups
Project Description
- To contribute to the financial sustainability of NTIC by gaining profit from managing and supporting profit organization of KU (Dhulikhel Hospital)
Project Field
- One from existing products that have been produced and sold by KU, and the other one from new products
Project Participation
- Participation in R&D for KU faculty and students
- To offer on-site training for KU students and to strengthen the capability of startups

- Total sales of KU brand products: 50 – 100,000 USD / brand/year
