Natural Fiber Sanitary Pad

A team of two friends joined hands to work on the issue and help the people with the identified solutions which gave birth to the idea of BI-PAD. Although this is not a completely new idea around the world, The concept of Bi-Pad is still in its infancy here in Nepal.  It is led by Ms. Aagya Dhungana along with Ms. Ananya Dhungana currently studying engineering at Kathmandu University. Bi pad is focused on creating low-cost environmentally friendly, biodegradable sanitary pads which help to explore the reusable, sustainable, and greener alternatives to Menstrual Hygiene Management to provide better hygienic alternatives with low environmental impact. The startup is more focused on minimizing the cost involved in pad manufacturing along with the features of reusable and environmentally friendly.

Almost more than half of the market share is covered by imported menstrual pads in Nepal. And these pads are not even reusable and environmentally friendly. Founders of Bi-Pad utilize this as an opportunity to grab the market by producing more sustainable pads from the Banana fabrics that can be reused.
